FilthyGorgeousMakeup Reviews Vital from the Modern Matte Collection

Natalya @ FilthyGorgeousMakeup recently reviewed Vital from the Modern Matte Collection and was excited to try out this season's hotly debated matte nails trend by saying, "...it is something new and fun to try, and a great excuse to buy more polishes!"

Natalya goes on to describe the polish as, "...very richly pigmented and is opaque after just one coat...the best thing about it was the drying time. It was dry to the touch within a matter of seconds and set in a couple of minutes, which is great for me as I am always doing my nails in a rush!"

And for anyone who is concerned that matte polish will look dirty or tired on the nails, Natalya clears this up by saying, "Even though the finish is matte it did not look dull as it has tiny flecks of shimmer to give it dimension"

She describes it as, 'a gorgeous deep purple colour with a pink gold running through it' and commented on how it applies in one coat and dries extremely quickly.

However, as with all trends, the matte nail is not for everybody so if you love the colours in the Modern Matte Collection but don't think a matte finish is for you, then try adding a topcoat to the polish to bring out the intricate veining and vibrancy - perfect for making your nails look multi-dimensional.

The Nail Buff tries Coral & Bouquet Collections

Helen at The Nail Buff recently tested out two great summery polishes from the Coral Collection & the Bouquet Collection.

First up is Camelot Blossom:

She says, 'This is such a gorgeous red-pink coral which applied really well with zero streaks. I had it on for over three whole days without even the slightest chip - usually I get a chip or two after a few hours so I'm impressed by this! This one applied well and looked great after two coats.'

Second up is Red Sea Coral:

She says, This a beautiful soft pinky coral... I didn't find the colour as strong though, and had to apply three coats before I was happy with it'
